Insight: “Landmark Spark” is the pivotal fundraiser of the year for the Basilica Landmark. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was moved from a physical to virtual event, so design and programming needed to be reimagined and adjusted accordingly.
Solution: We designed an illuminating exposé of color gradients that captured a festive mood for the occasion while honoring its core mission. The entire suite of campaign materials drew people in and invigorated a much-needed giving spirit.
Creative Purpose: Inspired by the Basilica’s iconic stained-glass windows, colorful gradients bring a positive energy that and represents the light that is needed in this period of time. Thin-line illustration emphasizes the architecture, drawing focus to the mission to preserve the beloved Minneapolis landmark, and is a consistent design element throughout the previous years of Landmark Spark.
